Featuring keynote speaker Carlos Whittaker
For the 20th year, hundreds of women who share TreeHouse’s passion for ending hopelessness among teens will gather to enjoy lunch and friendship while hearing real stories of the transformational power of hope.
With your involvement, TreeHouse will be able to reach more teens through support groups, one-to-one mentoring, retreats, activities, and vital programming. At TreeHouse sites all across the nation, true relationships with staff and volunteers show teens that someone sees them, knows them and genuinely cares for them, no matter what. For teens who may have experienced rejection, trauma or hopelessness, that’s life-changing!
Carlos Whittaker is bringing hope to humans all over the world. And he’s pretty good at it: He’s an author, podcaster, and global speaker backed by the power of a massive Instafamilia, his enthusiastic social followers who tune in daily to join forces with Carlos to find connection, be in community, and cast a vision for the power of HOPE.
When Carlos enters a room, he makes people feel seen. His superpower is creating spaces—online and in-person—where people are safe to engage in conversation about the topics that matter most but are often avoided. His motto: Don’t stand on issues, walk with people.
As the son of an African-American Baptist pastor father and a Latina mother, Carlos uses his platform of influence to spread hope by being vulnerable and relatable as he shares his own personal experiences of searching for light in the dark spaces. His understanding of moving from hopelessness to hope partners beautifully with TreeHouse’s mission. He, like us, is a champion of HOPE.
In his talk and recently released book How to Human, Carlos Whittaker offers fresh vision for becoming the best versions of ourselves. We can refuse to let disagreements define us. We can say no to becoming angry, rage-filled humans, and say yes to fuller, happier lives. It begins as we make the shift from “me” to “we” to “everybody” in a three-part journey to BE, SEE, and FREE those around us.
