TreeHouse donors, Kristen and Devin Doyle are great examples of the supportive, grace-filled, and loving community that surrounds our teens. Whether he knew it or not growing up, Devin had been a part of TreeHouse, as his family owned the building TreeHouse occupied for 28 years.
As he got more involved in the family business, he learned more about TreeHouse and its mission. “As I’ve found out more and more about TreeHouse, it really struck home for me personally how much the teenagers need support, love, they need to know why they matter and why they are loved and cared about,” Devin expressed.
Over the last couple of years, Devin’s wife Kristen has become more involved with TreeHouse after being invited to the annual Women of Hope luncheon. Sharing why the events have been so impactful for her, Kristen said, “it is so amazing to see in action these adults loving on all of these teens and how happy the teens were being at these different events. We are just so happy to be involved and supporting it!”
As a couple, the Doyles have committed themselves to sharing the mission of TreeHouse with new people, encouraging everyone to familiarize themselves with opportunities to make a difference in their communities. TreeHouse represents a vision that hits close to home for the couple, especially Devin. “It’s now more important than ever to be able to help in any way that we can with those teens in need. When you aren’t blessed with what some of us have, it’s hard to find an answer in life when you don’t have any kind of support around you,” shared Devin. “It means a lot to me personally because I’m adopted, and I could have had a completely different life. But, the Lord chose my parents; and to be blessed with that, and being able to provide other kids with that, means a lot.”
We are deeply grateful for the Doyles as they continue to make a difference in the lives of our teens and strive to bless the community around them with their story and philanthropy.
